It's not that Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon is bad, or even boring. In fact quite the opposite; I enjoyed it. Sure it is long, but not Rosy Crucifixion long or anything.

No, it seemed everything just decided to conspire against my finishing it. All said, it took something like three months, which considering I usually finish a book a week, is a bit absurd.

It suddenly feels weird not reading it. You know?

Has it ever taken you several months to finish a book?
