It unfolded like a Shakespearan tragedy. I entered, spotted my princess and doffed my hat. She smiled and finished making someone else's order.

SG: So, are you doing anything tonight?
ME: I didn't have any plans, you?
SG: No, I was probably going to go home and hang with my sis.
ME: Wanna catch a movie later, maybe?
SG: Hi, what can I get for you?

Instead of an answer, some scurvy knave entered stage left and placed an order.

I didn't get a Yes, No, or Maybe; I got a sandwich.

Next week...

That gum you like...
