I was feeling a bit too normal with short hair, so I felt a dye was in order. No doubt like many of you I have been limited to the semi/demi-permanent world of Manic Panic and Special Effects dyes; they are shit.

This time around, I remembered my friend The Internet. Amazon didn't have nearly as much in the way of dye as I expected, but they did list permanent dye by a company called Herbatint. It is touted as organic, which means it could be shit, but I bought it hoping they were just liars.

And I must say, the gamble paid off. I was quite surprised to see crystal clear water rolling off my head during the second shower. Indeed my hair seems to have retained all the punchy punky red.
