Personally, I've never understood the point of new year's resolutions. Not only are they ultimately ignored, but they are things that can be done at any moment. Why do we feel the need to wait until a new year roles around?

There's a quote by Alfred E. Perlman that has always bothered me:

After you've done a thing the same way for two years, look it over carefully. After five years, look at it with suspicion. And after ten years, throw it away and start all over.

First of all, why should it take a decade to figure out you have a shit system? Secondly, without any context, this implies that everything is ultimately worthless. The music I listen to, my feelings, my attitudes, my clothes, all of these things have remained more or less stagnant since 1994. Yet here I am, a college dropout comic dabbler earning a large salary as a remote computer systems technician.

Obviously I'm doing something right.

If I'm going to follow advice from someone with a butler's name it'll be this:
What, me worry?

What are your feelings on reggae music?

Only humans may vote. Please type the name of the Roman god, deity, and/or hero that appears in the image below into the adjascent text field. Spambots best look elsewhere for the Deus ex Machina.
