Only When I Lose Myself#117 / 2008-03-31

I knew from the outset that a daily publication was beyond my capabilities. The elusiveness of time and energy aside, it is incredibly difficult to maintain quality output day after day after day after day.

In fact, it is incredibly hard to maintain quality output every other day.

While Pop Culture Tragedy is all grounded in real things, conversations, people and what-have-you, comic-worthy episodes tend to come in clumps.

Luckily, I took this into consideration when launching the project. Rather than sitting down every other day and kicking out a strip, I draw them as inspiration strikes and queue them up to display on the appropriate day. This also has the added benefit of allowing new strips to debut at exactly midnight.

But this week... ugh.

Nothing.

Nada.

But then it hit me: nothingness is in itself an event.

I'm so clever.
