I am a hoarder of all things screwy. An entire drawer in my filing cabinet is dedicated to cables and connectors and nuts and bolts and screws and sprockets and cogs and... It is a touch untidy.

Untidiness, however, pays off from time to time.

Once upon a time (yesterday) I had to do a coolant reservoir transplant operation to prevent my computer from bursting into flame. While the new tank had a picture of the existing pump on its box, it did not have the proper connectors (it only came with a bunch of improper ones). This would have been a problem for someone that didn't happen to have a bunch of random hardware stashed away. Luckily, I had one that almost fit, and with a bit of dedicated ratcheting, I got everything hooked up and cooled down.
