The various "sounds of nature"-type compilations always intrigued me, but never to the point where I felt comfortable dropping $5-$10 on one. I mean really, what is "rain"? Is it jungle rain with birds and old-world monkeys and predatory cats? Is it rain hitting a roof? The ground? Is there thunder? Is there painful new-age sitar music interlaced?

Then I remembered one can procure just about anything for free online. Right then. So I downloaded a compilation called Thunderstorms. It has two tracks stretching about fifty minutes. It is what the title suggests, nothing more, nothing less.

For the past week I've been living in a wonderful, perpetual downpour. Desert no more!

I was planning on using a prominent emo band as the title for this comic, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I hate emo, and I couldn't risk the association being misconstrued. Which reminds me... Kate used to be Weezer's number one emolicious fan!
